Preparing for a Consultation
The answer to most general legal questions is, βIt depends.β How much is this going to cost? It depends. What is going to happen? It depends. What are the next steps? It depends.
The more details you can provide during the initial consultation, the easier it will be to provide you with more specific answers. Names and contacts, relationships, dates and chronological order, documentation, and the like are all things you can provide to make your case more specific and the answers to your questions more defined. Therefore, it may be helpful for you to have prepared notes with some of this information ready before a consultation.
Please note that an attorney-client relationship exists only once a legal services contract is in place, not during a consultation.
